I love the way you did the shading in the word Colorwave, it looks almost wavy. Can you do that on 106 and also get rid of the purple in the wave? Also, can you show me an option with the wave as the "C" in Colorwave? Thanks!
I like 133.Can you make the C a little thicker so we see more color and continue the color spectrum- it looks like it goes from yellow green to red back to yellow green and then to blue. It should go red, orange, yellow, green, aqua, blue. Also, can you remove the little black wave completely and make the font more solid, it is a little too faded. I will be deciding between my top 3 designers, so show me some other options as well that you think I will like knowing what you have heard from me so far, I need you to knock the number one designer off the top in the next 14 hours.
On 146, at the very tip of the C by the o, start with red and then work your way around from there. It is better but it goes from yellow to red and then back to yellow as the C curves around. I would also like to see these same adjustment made to 134. I havent decided if I like the wave as the letter C yet or if I like 134 better.
154 divided spectrum rather than continuous spectrum... might have a subtle message for your 'correction' efforts? not sure. as you look at each color separately and critically to correct it.
Ah I see you are following the curved line and the program does the spectrum in a left to right linear pattern...
That might be a bit tricky to do... may take a bit more time and it is getting late here - You can have modifications made to the #1 rated designs in Judging mode - and you can change rankings then too... so not to worry about that if you are narrowed to a couple of options.
Yeah, now we are on the same page. I see that the colors run north south and are going through the top and bottom of the C. The red on the majority of the C is too much. See what you can get done on thse two numbers I mentioned earlier. I think there are stil 13 hours left and like you say, I can move my top two or three people to the number 1 spot to see what they come up with. Thanks, goodnight.
great. much better. i would like to see the transition from green to aqua a little sooner, not as much green, more aqua. also, make sure to make these same changes to number 134 as well. talk tomorrow.
Hi Carol! So I guess I will use this judging period to swap first place among you and 1 or 2 other designers who have worked well with me and shown me designs I like. I will be working with the designer ranked #1 right now and then will move you to that slot once I get some more feedback and designs from him. I will be asking the three of you what you would do seeing what I like so far, to give me something a little more corporate or professional using the main design we have been working with. I don't want to lose the fun, colorful, surf style we have going on, but I want to see what options I might have to lean a bit more towards the professional. Show me what you would do and please leave me feedback as you have obviously designed many logos for businesses.
Once I swap you to the #1 spot, will it notify you or should I send you a message as well?
Matt - we get emails when you post to our designs. Best to know what you like and do not like about the designs. Be as specific as possible. You have selected 3 experienced contest designers and we all have different strengths. I am in the promotional products business and always look to what can be done when imprinting on merchandise. The use of your spectrum of color does limit this a bit because it is difficult to embroider blends and impossible to emboss or engrave the color - so think about what the logo will look like when translated to a single color also or non gradient designs. There is an article on my website about logo design if you want to read it on the businessbuilders site. You also need to consider what it might look like small on a pen or larger on signage. Hope this helps your decision process.
Thanks for the advice Carol! I will mostly be using the logo for my website, business cards, letterhead and maybe some t-shirts, hats and pens. I will check out the website. I am at a point now where I don't have tons of direction to offer, so I will be looking for ideas to polish and fine tune the logos I have like the most. I will let you know as soon as I move you to #1. If you come up with any ideas in the meantime, you can show me then. I want to keep the fun and surf feel due to my personality and my occupation (color correcting video and film) but I know I need to make it professional as well.
Hey Carol, I just put you in to the # 1 spot. I would like to see a few more ideas from you based off of #177, as that is my favorite so far. I want to see your ideas of a very professional, polished logo, but keeping some of that colorful, fun, surf feel.
