Marzy,
this is clever, the way you've incorporated a C element in #16, and the shape and of the head and forehead gives a sense of A too. I'm going to dwell on this a bit more and will give you further feedback tomorrow, and after I've talked with my colleagues
A couple of immediate comments. I'm kind of regretting that in the original brief I weighted the design slightly to serious over playful. I am thinking that a good mascot should have some playfulness in it. Michelin Man is still playful isn't he, even though he's about serious and safe tyres. Your designs are quite severe, especially the white eye. The eye's a bit scary! Is there a way to make the logo more playful. Maybe even give a twinkle in the eye?
Many thanks, Peter

I'm with you on that. I've made the zebra less 'evil stallion' like and after looking some zebra pics felt rounding of the ears helps too.

Marzy,
you're onto something good here with #18 and #19. I like how it's coming together.
I think what's not working for me is the 'C' shape of the neck. It work in the sense that it references the "C" of Color, but I think it interferes with our objective of having a mascot. Can you try doing away with the C and just having a regular neck. The focus on the eye is very good. It's now showing as the central feature and you really feel you're connecting eye-to-eye.

here's a quick revision based upon your suggestions adding also some more markings and looking again at the ears a little.
