College 500Logo Design Contest

Thank you for the submission. I like it a lot. Nice and clean, but missing something (?) relative to the other logos I'm considering. I've gotten so many submissions that it's really hard to rank them relative to each other. But this is definitely a good idea and I appreciate the time you put into it.

P.S. Congrats on the "Discretely Me" logo - I've enjoyed following that contest!!!

thank you very much for your comment and consideration, yes this logo is missing something, if i end up on the top 5 ranked i will add some details,in the coming days, i see the open phase is almost over.

the base of this design is that college is a very common and loud word, it doesn't need much explaination.

500 on the other hand is very interesting to put in first place maybe even more than i did.

Unfortunately when a contest has so many entries is a bit hard to insert designs that aren't similar to others so i just put a few things in my design i should have explored it more, maybe adding a little more depth


thank you for discretely me, i really enjoyed designing it, sometimes just an underline it's enough to build a good brand, sometimes we forget universal ways of representing things, and an underline is a very simple one, but still in judging mode is still not sure that i will be the winner :)

if you let me in the top 5 phase i will definitely work on more revisions and upload them as soon as i am ready

yes im still waiting for admin to fix this i cleared browser cookies and data, changed computer , Operative system, none of them is working, i'll withdraw the entry now and try to reinstate

it helped!!! i am able to upload now, so i have a uploaded a first round of new entries, im trying to keep it simple, and using line art instead of 3dimensional graphics

so i made an emblem that it appear to be flat, with a subtle depth effect , i focused my concept on the hat , i love the one you already have on your website so i took inspiration from it

i design with visibility as the priority for any logo so you can zoom out (ctr + scroll back with mouse) to see that the logo doesn't loose his meaning even at the smallest size, sometimes to be able to do this you must sacrifice a lot of empty space in the composition

hope i didn't completely destroied your expectations

i tried your software is really nice and beautiful, i think your logo should communicate that you are giving advice on which college to choose and not actually giving college degree to anyone, so maybe a magnify glass on top of the hat can communicate this im going to upload this soon

#200 is what my last comment refers too, it already made the composition very busy, im not going to explore this further unless you ask me to, im going to keep refining the details and delete minor errors

#201 is how it looks without the depth effect, it looks less like a cookie :)

i love to make fun about my designs, i am going to step back for a minute and meditate about this design, i will come back with some more entries as soon as i have some new ready, please if you can give me any feedback about all of them i will be really happy and will help me a lot

thank you for ranking my new design, im still here drawing on paper for the moment, i hate the "drawing software" is too powerfull but sometimes is not powerfull at all, im still very impressed from your software i think you should put the search software in the very first place and put the picture on the background or delete it, im pretty sure lot of people wisit your page without even notice that there is a very nice piece of software underneath the picture

the picture is beautiful it can be a background for the entire page with the search on first place, you took the picture?
