Coast West Entertainment, IncLogo Design Contest

I think that a couple things need to happen here. Combine the words CoastWest, bold and open up entertainment and show some color options.
Please give me a background on the symbol. On its own, does it mean anything?

I am trying to like this but need a reply from you. What does the logo stand for? Regardless, can you come up with something different, other than what looks like flames?
