Regarding the versions in black and white, it's no problem. It's allowed/encouraged to provide the client with alternate color versions after the contest is complete, so, no worries there.

Also, would you mind maybe creating a version of this with an airplane in the sky?

Great! Thank you for point that out. If you could try a clean and simple skyline with a few buildings and maybe a palm tree, that would be great. Again, the colors you chose, as well as the font are fantastic.

Thanks for the feedback! I'd like to point out that the contest is blind, so I cannot see what the other designers's entries look like, and if I were, it wouldn't be ethical to follow their footsteps design-wise.
However, I'd be more than glad to keep exploring other designs. If you have any other references from around the web for inspiration, I'd be more than happy to look at them. My intention is to give you the best logo possible.

I like your logo. Very clean and love the gradient. However, would like to see the icon be more reflective of a city (similar to what Safira did on their logo). Wondering if you could submit a couple more options but keeping the text as is. Thanks!
