Hello, i just wanna share my opinion as a designer with you. As a community (middle school, high school, college, and their parents) you must have a logo that conveys what you are involved. A circle with the shape of persons as i did like #125 or #128 is a very good element to show strenght, communication and a union between students and the college. Remember that your target audience are male and female students ages 12-22. Students lives in the Chicago, so they need to identify with the logo, to think that they are those shapes of a circle of union and communication. It is important to transmit to others what you want to say with your college so a logo too abstract it seems a little confusing and maybe that kind of logo can work on Art Colleges not on a College like yours that is growing in their faith and seeking to be a blessing to the world.
I like the things that you teach to your students like: "Our students faith is more spiritual than religious. They would rather experience God than learn doctrine. They would also rather serve the poor, than serve themselves". So this is really important to transmit in your logo!!
Best Regards
Diana.
