Doncorvair, this remains #1, maybe a light outline around art, or a slightly darker/brighter shade. I like your lighter blue and the blue background. Also can you try enhancing the blueprint element - I don't know how, but more cirlces and lines. I mentioned the other shutterstock image, but also look at this one - http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-52790548/stock-photo--architectural-drawing-made-by-hand-on-a-blue-background.html - see how techie it seems? It doesn't need to make sense, no engineers are going to be seeing this, so you can just use your imagination. But we really like this one so far.
