Here's 2 to get you started....Any input is appreciated...all elemets of the layout, colors and illustration may be altered, rearranged or interchanged. Font style and preferences also may be suggested.
Thank you for the ideas. Just left a general comment too. As stated on my brief, I am looking for for a logo that is suggestive of American Idol, more of an emphasis on blue and white. Also, I want "Pro Voice Lessons" to be the dominant (larger) text. "Chase Guyton's" should be much less prominent (smaller) and possibly in a signature style font. I am looking for for a logo that is suggestive of American Idol.
I reworked this logo with the blues you requested and tried a few scipts samples...but there are many more to choose from...with these if you can give me a specific direction from here I will do my best to pinpoint your visuals.
Also, remember that the logos of Amarican Idol are mostly represented or so it appears that they are RGB and unless your are using a RGB printer the professional priinters use CYMK on offset printing and the blues will not be as vibrant but your may change them up for your needs...as on the web you can use RGB vibrant blues. I am using CYMK in these.
I will check back for your response. Thank you, Tere
Looks MUCH better! Thanks for the feedback on RGB vs. CMYK. The logo will be used primarily for web with the exception of business cards, stationary.
I like the addition of the stars in the background, nice touch. I like the script font used in #6 for the signature line. But I'd possibly like to see something more like an "AirStream" font for "Pro Voice Lessons". If you do not have this font, please look at: http://fontmeme.com/american-idol-font/
Lastly, please try some variations on the placement of the text around the emblem. I still would like to see "Pro Voice Lessons" to be more prominent. I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for as far as text placement but maybe incorporate the text as part of a banner at the bottom of the emblem so the whole logo looks like a sign.
The font from # 7 through #10 on "Pro Voice Lessons" is the same or very close to the font as American Idol... the font you sent me AirStream actually is not as close. It appreas the A on American Idol has been redesigned with more flair, since you don't need that letter capped, the rest of the font is close to the original version.
The gradient I changed from linear to radial...let me know which one you prefer.
I tried your title and name on a curve as well as a possibility..
Did you want to keep with the oval as on American Idol's?
Tere, Entry #7 looks very good. Unfortunately there is a typo in the last name, you have "Gayton" instead of "Guyton". Can you please correct? Could you please try the same font used in #6 for "Chase Guyton's"?
I do prefer the new silhouette, but I'm a little thrown off by the shape of the mouth. Looks like he is trying to eat the microphone.
In regards to the oval, if you would like to submit something "off the wall" but still with the same color scheme, please feel free! Thank you for prompt turnaround and hard work!
Here are more of with variations in the illustration, I worked on the mouth...funny I always thought singers sometimes look like they are eating the mic :-)
You will also see that I used RGB on some... they are the most vibrant of the colors for web and mostly PEGS. If I convert them to CYMK I think they lose some of the vibrancy on printing. FYI
I tried other formats and the circle with the singer seemed to be the best on these layouts without getting too complicated
I will be out until tomorrow late so I will try and check for your responses at that time... Thank you! I have enjoyed your contest. Tere
Thank you for the most recent entry. This contest is actually for one of my customers who I'm designing a website for. He did not have a logo so my project includes the cost of a logo. As you are aware, sometimes the initial design feedback you get from a client winds up changing once the actual design process begins. In this particular case, the client "thought" he wanted a singer's silhouette but thought it looked a bit cartoonish once he actually saw the logos.
I am disappointed in the number of designers that have submitted logos. As you can see, only you and one other designer has participated, and the other designer has only submitted one logo. Therefore, I am considering either extending the contest by three days and/or upgrading to a Featured listing.
I just wanted to let you know because while I do like your logo submissions, my client is expecting more of a variety of choices. At this point I don't have any other design suggestions other than possibly doing something TOTALLY different like: http://www.voice-lessons.com
I understand....maybe if I suggest to you that you to trust the designers and leave it open to all possibilities with specifics only for what you absolutely know you must have....you will not be disappointed...there are amazing designers on LT.
Good luck on the next level... I will try to follow you as you add more information. Tere
Tere, Thanks again for all your submissions, we've selected the top designs we like and narrowed it down to five designers. On your logos #17 and #25 Please use the same font for “Chase Guyton” as you did on #56. Would also like to see the blue to be more similar to #62.
We are asking the remaining Top 5 designers to please try to create something totally different from the remaining logos. We would like to see a logo that would incorporate a microphone like: : http://goo.gl/EwAOP In other words, surprise us!
