good colors and integration with a cog wheel. I like the simplicity as well. Is there anything you can do with the cross to make it more subtle? can you incorporate some "action" or change into the logo (keeping the simplicity)?
Thanks for the feedback. I submitted #72 making the cross more subtle and suggesting change using the colored sections of the cog leading into the next, then coming together united.
#74 includes the requested colors. I submitted a new version as well, same concept with the 4 sections of cogs congregating in the center. The cross can be seen in the white space between the 4 sections.
can you rotate the cog 1/4 turn counter clockwise so that that blue is in the South East Corner on #74
also, on the cross can you make the inside tips be thin lines or smaller rectangles (so you have a thin cross inside the white center. any other suggestions would be helpful as well. getting really close.
I uploaded entries #90 and #91 as I understood from the description above. If it is not what you wanted, let me know and I'll fix it.
#92 shows the cog split in 4. there is a group of 4 abstract people with raised arms inside (Culture) who also repeat the form of a cross. The heads of the people introduce a film reel into the concept.
I was trying a few things out with the design #106
Most notable, I wanted to try out a few new fonts and thought this one gave a nice balance and feel to the design. It actually looks friendly and inviting so I wanted to run it by you and see what you thought.
I also toned down the colors a few shades and was happy with the results and wanted to get your thoughts on that as well.
still deciding on colors. this is what we are thinking for #86:
1) try Trajan font, no bold on Catholic 2) change inside cross to the blue only (no additional colors) 3) reduce the current color shade by approx 20% on the cogs (Darker than your 106 however) - somewhere in between the two 4) make one in b&w 5) bring the vertical cross bar on inside cross in approx 5% (Top and bottom) and the horizontal cross in 10%(left and right) to give the subtle impression of a 2nd cross in the middle (white space between the inside white and the outside cog)
