I've been thinking some more. I really, really like the "C". It's very unique and distinctive. Maybe it is the only focal point needed.

Could we try putting a horizontal "line" between top/bottom? Instead of a straight line maybe use something more like a castle wall square-ish repeating blocks with gaps between.

Thank you for the feedback! What kind of object/element do you prefer on/or/as icon?

I like the stylized "C". I was hoping for more of a graphic/icon as well though.
