Thank you for all your entries in my logo contest. My favorite of yours so far would be #27 -Like the compostion of the mountain and water. would like to see the water more reflective and looking like water. and also the sky are too a bit too strong and don't go well with the water color. Mountains in Hawaii are more of a Dark Green. See harrywishard.com for an idea of compostion, color and feeling I'd like to get across. As far as the ukulele, It's been difficult for all the designers so far to fit it into the image and make it look good. I'm seriously considering an image without an ukulele at all but just a beautiful scene and nice font Which by the way I like the "of Maui" font you chose. The "Cary's" isn't quite right though. Round version of previous. (I have used folage from Hawaii, adding butterflys and reflection on the water. I put bamboo in the folage also.) Thankyou for considering my entries :o)
Thanks again for your entries and revisions! I really like the color scheme you are using focusing more on the green as this really symbolizes hawaii. Unfortunately there are some other designs that are more what I'm looking for in a logo. I will give you my thoughts if you are still considering working on more revisons #63 love the round shape and green mountains and palm. Don't really like the font for Cary's of Maui. A little too feminine or cute.(Many people assume that I'm a woman because of my name) Possibly use the same font you used for the "of Maui" Also please take out the flowers and butterflys. Foreground is a bit too busy. I do like the red flowers as they look like bird of paradise flowers found here. Try to open the image up a bit showing more water and mountains. I do like the reflection of the mountain in the water too. The more I think on this design the more I start to see the possiblities. Thanks again for your time!
Thanks for all your revisions! unfortunately other designs made it top and are more what i'm looking for this time around. I know you put a lot of time in and I'm much appreciative of that. From my experience as a CH for the first time. It's very good that you continued to work on the contest even if CH discards the first entries. Actually the guy in 2nd place right now,His first concepts were the furthest away from anything that i wanted in a logo. Also I'm sure you learn a lot through the process of each contest.
