They tend to be simple, relevant to the product, with a muted, but colorful scheme. I think I nailed that on all three accounts with my submission. It conveys the message of matching, which is the most important.
Well I guess I can't convince you that you're heading in a direction completely away from google like, sophisticated and high end. The entries you seem to prefer would probably be better suited for a day care or children's clothing line, no offense. Just trying to point things out from a branding perspective.
