How about dark blue and orange combo. While not being outright patriotic it still has a strong impact.

Hi, do you prefer flat color with no gradients?

This logo has a good structure and composition, it is also trustworthy and not generic.

I believe it will work in many color variations (which are simple to change).

My new idea. A more stylized version of my family, the orange outlines around the globe also make initials C, T, very subtle. Circular shape enclosing the family translates into security and warmth. I also added an orange stroke into the "a" in Tax which you may or may not want... up to you ;)
