How's it goin, Scotty?

So I read your design brief over and over, and I asked myself: What would make someone want to buy a shirt from Santa Monica, and actually wear it? The answer: A vintage design that is eye-catching and can stand on its own once I leave the city, without it feeling too 'touristy'.

Thus, I came up with the following initial ideas: #19, #20, #21, #22. They almost look like they could be a logo for a hip band called Santa Monica, California. (I wonder if Everclear would want one?)

I kept them to one-color prints for now, as they would be very fast/easy/affordable to produce. I am certainly open to adding more colors though, but I wanted you to see the design in its simplest form first, and to see that it works.

Let me know your thoughts, and we can go from there.
Thanks!

Hi Goodguy Design,
Thank you for your entries and your effort. We like the font and style of the design but do not know if it is a design that can go on all apparel (shorts, leggings, Hats etc..)

Goodguy Design,
We like your design but would also like to see Santa Monica items like the ferris wheel, the sign entrance to the pier, etc... along with the palm trees and beach balls in the design.

Sounds great. I should have revised designs wrapped up later today.
Thanks!

Hey Scotty,

I will have my next batch of designs ready soon, so I appreciate your patience. I think you will like where we go from here.

Here are a couple of new design options for your review:

#45 includes the famous sign,
#46 includes the sign and the ferris wheel

I am working on a roller coaster addition as well, but I want to feel right before posting it.

I am still toying around with adding the text to the actual sign, but it just doesn't have the same feel and desired effect. I still like the text being at the forefront of the design.

Let me know what you think.
Thanks!
