I like this better than the clipped corner. What if you left the position of the "C3" like this, but made the corner blue with a section of white border around the "C", but with a few voids in the border wherever it would occur.

Of the 4 logos you submitted, I like this one the best. I think the "C" needs to be a bit more pronounced. Perhaps a splash of color?
