In reading your brief, I assumed that you want to keep the original logo but have the look of a larger company. I kept the logo the same but added some dimension to it. On most of the designs I tried to keep the name "The Australian Wedding Videographers" so it reads as one. I can see why two lines makes for a shorter logo, but it drastically changes the name of the company to "The Australian" and Wedding Videographers now become the job title. Hope that makes senses. In keeping to one line it reads more as C2 "The Australian Wedding Videographers". Also because of the long name I opted for upper and lowercase. In design and typography upper and lower case is preferred for better legibility when the phrase and/or words are rather long.
For #267, #268 I tried to soften the look somewhat. I imagine that in Australia, as in the U.S., the bride usually is more involved in prepping the wedding arrangements. I might be good to target them.
Hi Marcello, your comments are very accurate. You clearly understand the brief. Please supply other logos. Enclose the logo into a circle or square so it appears as a stamp.
Thanks for the feedback. I see that some other designer has already made the logo in a square stamp shape. Was this at your request? The reason I have to ask is that we are not allowed to do a similar design to what may have already been presented by another designer. However, if the other designs were based on your request, than the idea is considered the contest holders (you) and that would make the concept fair game. I want to be respectful of fellow designers, so I have to ask. Otherwise we can get in trouble with the site. Please let me know. As you approach the final hour of the contest, keep in mind that only the top 5 ranked designer will be able to continue submitting. Currently, I am not ranked so my "submit" button will disappear (most likely before I will get in any new design. I believe you only have 4 designers ranked, you may want to select any designer that showed some promise and rank them. This will at least assure you that there are at least 5 designer fighting it out in the last two days. (The rank does not mean any commitment on your part, but at least it keeps more designers in the hunt.)
I have changed the brief based on the designs that were coming in..So from the feedback I'm getting from our staff viewing these logos we have decide an enclosed type logo would work best...you are still in the running..
Please let me know if you need another blue or different fonts. I hesitated doing a full emblem since another designer had done that, but I see that other are now doing it. Again, I have to ask in order to maintain competitive fairness, was that your original request or was it the designers that introduced it? :)
