Here's a few. I added the Texas Star in different positions. Don't know if you want something like this but thought I would add this as a possibility. The first one in the emblem is a handscript a little more playful.
The last ones are just 2 spot colors and very simple style. If you want something more illustrative let me know. As far as red, you have a lot coming in, but let me know what colors you would like to see and I'll work on that too.
Thanks,
Tere

Tere,
Thanks so much for your entries! I do like the star, but there's so many Texas logos with stars in them that I don't want to get lost.
I especially like #37 -- it is very elegant and high-end. Now that I see it though, I'm afraid that it won't speak to a great number of clients that I do have. If I was only concentrating on luxury homes, I'd pick this one in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, with the economy the way it is, I have to appeal to a broader base of clients as there are just not that many people in our area who can afford to buy luxury homes at this time.
Also, keeping in mind how much information I have to get on a business card, I'd like to see something like #37 done in a horizontal layout as opposed to a vertical one. I do lean a bit towards red/black -- a) it's very noticable, and b) the red is like my broker (Keller Williams). However, I'm not opposed to different colors. I wouldn't even mind seeing something in a navy/silver, red/black, you get the idea.
Thanks again!

Here is the previous design toned down and simplified. Additionally some with just the font, clean and simple.
I'll send some new concepts before you contest ends.
Thank you,
Tere

Tere,
Thanks for tweeking these designs. I really like the simplified versions, especially #74 & #75. Here's something I'm curious about. As I stated before, I'm an agent for Keller Williams. Our official "red" is PMS 200 (CMYK: C=0, M=100, Y=66, K=13). Could you try one as a white reverse in the red? That way I could see what it would like on our signage.
Thanks!!
