Bumpers Academy (BA)Logo Design Contest

Is there a way you can add any type of sports balls like a football and something that reflects speed in the logo to make it look more like sports performance and fitness training?

I like the logo but the U looks like a V. I definitely like the logo in a shield but the U looks like a V.
