Hi a simple illustration to enhance the brand. Too complex may distract. Also, according to my own experience, childs insist to grow up quite fast so it is gonna be outdated soon if it is too realistic, :))

A great icon may be just the single pony tail. It looks like a flame too then for a BBQ mau be suitable. And perhaps the cartoon will not be present on all the instances the logo appears. The lines.stripes to sustain the grill effect on meats. Cheers from Argentina a land of great BBQs / Asado.
PD: Keep in minf that in the second round we can explore, make variations to meet the best version. any comment or feedback will be appreciated and useful.

Entry 8 is good. We were going more for this rather than an exact caricature of her. Our truck will be a brighter orange

Truck is just a square box it will fit. Thanks for trying orange so we can see it there. We would use several color combos for shirts and print media.

woops times pass soon, I was going to post other design but open round has finished a couple of minutes ago it seems.

Maybe we could see the other designs you are talking about? I was wondering if you could use the facial colors from the tan design on the orange design.... Less of the make up look. And for ease of screen printing or embroidery try adjusting the head to not have a neck... See if we can get rid of a few intricate parts. It would also be neat to see a different color scheme on a different color background for different tshirts.... Say like a royal purple background

Thanks for the rate and comments. Yes, increasing the saturation of orange also increased too much the saturation of face looking as make up. I will correct that.also simplify some traces to allow its application.

thanks, here a simpler version. No gradients on cheeks, thicker outlines and consistent colours. Perhaps I will not be online the next 3 hours but for sure fine tune adjustments can be done even with the contest ended until meeting the final desired version. this illustration is full vectorial so it can be printed, stamped or embroidered in different systems. cheers, adrian

Hi I ve submitted another option. Not said only by me but the site itself declares "Character > A Character logo consists of a mascot to represent the brand. Please note that Character illustrations are extremely time intensive for designers, and for the best results the prize should be at least $400-$500" By this I am not asking for increasing award by any chance, actual prize is ok but I really would need more feedback if submitted options needs some adjustment or do you have any other suggestion. I won more 50 contests, many of them based on cartoons and characters, my style is certainly broad then I guarantee your satisfaction with the resultant illustration but again any feedback will help to meet the best version.
Finally sorry about this long text but sending just a "nice draw" and cross my fingers is not my style, I am used to get involved with each project and sorry any delay of response during the contest, I had a rush week. cheers, adrian
