#1 - Feels like the wrong vibe for the show, too show girly. #2 - We like this one. The Broadway at different levels like buildings is cool. Would like to try a different idea for the Broadway font. Chaser lights on the letters is a little too cliche. Perhaps take the idea of building farther and make windows on the letters. Same effect, but not cliche. Also add a buff male figure into the mix there are guys in the show too. #3 - Like the idea of using the body for the A, but doesn't feel exciting enough. #4 - Better movement than #3, but still just not quite right.
Still looking through the new entries, but a couple general notes. Stay away from fonts that are named Broadway or Playbill. They tend to be overused and somewhat cliche. #8, 9, 10 Broadway is one of those fonts. The bodice on #8 is interesting, it looks like it could be made into a letter. A V in Varietease perhaps.
#5 - Good image of the girl lying down. Could we try it with other colors? Reference the Johnny Carson Tonight show curtain. https://encrypted-tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQVVTN5VwELlo0BsspoNJDyi39rwu5Ofi7V-UXMYKD7E4kyVdflcg But can you make the colors shimmer/pop? Just so it doesn't look so flat. #7 - Although this isn't the right track, it's nice to have tease accented #8 - Already posted about the Body of this one being a letter in Varietease
#13 Is on the right track. The 2 men & one woman is great. Can we change the red accent on one of them, perhaps put one of the men in red bikini briefs (no tie). Play around with one or both of them not referring to the woman.
The font for Varietease still isn't right.
Can you make the Broadway reference a New York City Skyline? Not famous/iconic buildings, but apartment buildings & skyscrapers, etc.
A couple comment from our other producers... We realized that Broadway is getting more focus that Varietease, which we want to make sure that Varietease is prominent. Also, playing around with the idea of the female form being the "T" in tease.
A quick note on #18 can it be a bit more of briefs as opposed to a thong?
Anna - Thank you so much for your designs. Our Favorites are #1 & #2. We want Varietease to be more prominent. Could you work up both of those concepts with that in mind.
We're close!!! We've settled on #33. Could you adjust the Broadway because its getting lost against the curtains. Possibilities... give it a glow, place it infront of the curtains more, make it look like lights?
We are still trying to figure out the right vibe for the Broadway. The glow was good, but it feels like airbrushed rather than coming from a light source. Is it possible to do a feel like the lights like in the photos I uploaded. Obviously, they're photos, so I know it'll be different. I've uploaded some photos & fonts for you to look at. Part of the issue with the Broadway may be that letters connect. I've uploaded a pdf with Fonts to try, we like 3, 5 & 10.
So, I think it's just not right... to busy... as a final run at this thing, could you just try a few different font choices for Broadway? No lights inside, and we'll see what pops.
I looks like #40 will work, could you lower the curtain ties so that they don't compete with the word Broadway? Also, I have adobe Illustrator, so I will be able to change colors on the final version you supply, correct?
Thanks for all your hard work Anna... I don't know if it's possible to get both an eps and ai file for the final version. This is my first logo tournament.
