Here is the logo idea I came up with for your site, as well as for your shirts, apparel, merchandise, etc. I tried to stick with a clean and profession wordmark, that still expressed the toughness of the camps. I incorporated a sample from an Australian-camo shirt I found, and then placed a gritty, army-based font over the top of it.
And here is the same logo, but with a grunge texture over the top. This type of effect would give t-shirts and other things a really cool, vintage/gritty feel.
Entry #3 and #4 is clearly my favourite so far. its rough, tough and good colour scheme. I like the cracked. The logo will predominately be on Black back drop, so IF i was to stop the comp here, I would only want from the white/red line inward. I like both all caps and up n lower. Dont like the .com.au on #5 to hard to see. I really do like 3and 4, but Over all, I do feel its still not exactly what I want, its too simple for what I had envisaged. Thank you for your time. I trust this helps.
Here is a new idea I came up with for your logo, Daniel. I did some research and stylized this badge-type icon after the Australian Army badge. Let me know what you think, as I am excited about the potential here. Thanks!
Also, I put this on a black background so you can envision it on black t-shirts. (I can provide just the artwork portion by itself at the conclusion of the contest.)
You could either put just the badge by itself on shirts, OR you could use this version. (You essentially have 3 versions of your logo to choose from for your merchandise.)
1. The icon by itself 2. The words by itself 3. The words and icon together (as shown)
Here is another idea I came up with. This one is especially cool, because the perfectly round shape makes the logo very flexible and versatile, in terms of placement onto virtually anything. This would look really cool on the chest of shirts!
Heya. I was in the middle of replying. Your first logo, is great, but needs a symbol, or caricature, or a BANG of some sort, and thats exactly what you have come up with. New logo (ranked 3rd) is great, but I think it would look better with the full words inside - BBC is already an established name in Brisbane, and I dont want to be aligned with them. Also, when the web site is in the name it helps stick with new clients. Entry #11 is good, but I dont like the font. Maybe all caps, but different sizes like entry 5, and/or two lines. Can you put the star of 10 onto 3 with black back drop please? Thanks for your efforts.
Here is another font option, which is still tough/bold without being too difficult to read. I will see what else I can come up with that seems fitting as well!...
