Erik,
Impressive work for sure.
I am wondering if this design could have a 'one color' capability as well as a 'two color' capability? Or would the shadowing & half tones need more than a one or two color option? I hope I'm making sense - as sometimes I seem to think because I know what I'm saying others should as well...
Thanks!

I think the same way too sometimes, lol.

Yea, I think this could work in one color, or 'flat' as we call it in the industry. The two colors and the shading help with the effect a bit, but the overall shape of the elements will lend to the effect too. I'll put something together to demo that.

a good test of any logo or effect, is will it look good flat? Does it still work in one color?

I'm not really sure it still looks good in one color. And I hate that too - especially since I really wanted to be able to have a one color option! I'm very glad you showed me the design in one color but sad for you if that means that you go down in the ranking! One color it reminds me more of a library book or such?

I don't know, I think it's just as vivid in one color. Different yes, but still offers a strong punch of negative space.

Thank you for your designs!
As you reminded me how a logo sometimes needs to be simplified as one color, would you be able to show me what each logo you've done would look like in one color?
Thanks so much!!!
