hello - wow thanks for such a quick response.

I havent done this before so am winging it as to process of response.

Realy like the direction. Right now of all the designs entered this is definitely the best and closest to what im seeking to convey. well done.

What i love most is the use and emphasis of the word brand and the brand ident image - it conveys what i sought - music, brand (with the b) and movement/connection - can you share your thoughts on what you are trying to achieve or think is conveyed with that?

What im not sure of is the typeface, - i definitely prefer san serif and have no problem with lower case letters, but just dont know what is missing for me - perhaps its due to its being a standad font or if it is the thinness of font, or mix of lower and upper. Dont know but font just not working right now.

overall though really like it well done.

great feedback. thanks! the b/musical note in the mark is meant to connect music and brand. the musical staff and the circle complete the mark and give it definition. i can work on the font. i had originally used all lowercase, but i changed it last minute. i will try a few different treatments of both text and the mark for variation...

regarding your feedback, it's great that you're leaving detailed info. the more you're able to leave, the better results you'll receive. as the contest wears on, you'll probably continue to see an increase in submissions, which may make leaving large volume responses difficult, but as i said, the more you say, the more you'll see...

if you have any info you want to share with the entire community (i.e. sans serif fonts, etc.) leave those comments in the general discussion area, that way you don't have to say it to everybody individually.

good luck in the contest. more to come!

hey thanks for the feedback and tips appreciate it.

Dont want to bombard you but also want to make sure giving clear directions for you.

Still really like your design -

probably what i love most is;

1) the visual ident youve created - the b moving/connecting and all.
2) the emphasis on word BRAND - my differentiator
3) your overall symmetrical clean simplistic design aspect and sensibilities

probably whats missing the mark for me right now is;

1) a bit too straight, think i need a little rock'nroll attitude in there
2) tied to that is probably the font choice maybe a bit too thin and corporate - not really sure about expressing fonts just notice that i gravitate towards the stronger san serif characterful fonts more than i do the lighter thinner ones. Its funny i really like thin lines on about everything, its very much my personality but with these logos for some reason its not grabbing me when i see them and like i say gravitating to more substance strength and characterful ones

whats your thoughts on colours with this?

Thanks Again for the effort and feedback! Really look forward to seeing more from you

variations on font, color, and mark. i'm still working on a more 'risky' mark, but i wanted to give some subtle variations as we move forward. i tried using a typical closed note instead of the 'flat' notation. also a more bold font. please let me know if any of these changes are keepers (i.e. color, font, italics, etc.) thanks again!

Hey thanks again for the designs.

Ive been trying to work all my comments through the generic posting but as your design is really only one of a couple that i actually like, i thought id give you some specific feedback.

As before what i really liked in your original entry no 5 - was its simplistic symmetrical clean design and the visual ident of the note in movement.

My main concern is overall it conveys more of a company which sells music sheet music, pianos, etc and not a brand working with artists, festivals, concerts, mtv programs, etc - hence my feedback on dirtying it up a bit and making it more rock n roll.

Hope this helps and thanks again for all the efforts
