I like where you are headed. fonts are good for the word fireworks cause it shows movement but some how need to stand out more- gradiant, thicker? Can we get the inside of the oo's to be red to provide some contrast/pop? and add a gold fuse that appears to be lit? Think that would give it more life/depth. Currently it is a bit stagnant/dead. might work on stationary but color sells on the web! good 1st attempt.. closer to the look than some of the rest.
Hi, thanks for the feedback, here is a revision for you. Do you feel it needs more fireworks adding ? - I didnt want to add a lot to begin with as as not to overcrowd things, - I assume there are lots of colourful graphics on your website anyway ?.
Hi- Initially I was going to put the restriction in of no black background but fireworks are shot at night in the dark. Most firework websites use a dark background and nothing pops out so nicholas.crumlett@americaneagle.com is still playing with whether to use a dark background border and then go with showcasing the product on a white or sand colored background for greater visibility. That said they may want a black background for the home page but obviously it could end up converse the name being played against a lighter backdrop. If I were to go with this logo it would not translate as well on price lists, shopping carts, stationary with out a bit of FLASH in the background illuminating the name. So how to do we create a spotlight effect -rising star, comet tail coming off the o in town creating a sparkle in the dark sky? try a small gold burst in the distance?maybe something under the fireworks like a bold swirl to ground it... have to play a bit with what might enhance not detract from the wording. you are the artist. this is tasteful but from a distance the o's look a bit like pumpkins. Up close it can be seen as what they are a throw back to the good ol days when cherry bombs were legal. You are on course..., doing fine.. now is the time to experiment with the core a bit. Just like a pot of soup, add a pinch of this or that and see if we get perfection or not. thanks!
Hi- Well it does showcase your talents/versatility. I have a 99% male client base and I think half are color blind and view this as too busy a motif. Tho.... This might be fun over in the rocket/novelty section of the store or on a fountain package if we were designing our own pyro line.
If you want to cadoddle play with your original by adding the .com or having one of the fuses leave a ....... gold trail to a modest gold burst towards the upper right corner. thanks, marilyn oconnor boomtozoom@aol.com
Hi This latest creation is just drop dead gorgeous and I rank it #1. Still need a .com somewhere for web/marketing purposes. thanks, Marilyn OConnor boomtozoom@aol.com
HI- Web design team has a home page constraint issue in that they need the drawing to be to the left and more visible and the wording to be centered to the right of the logo in order to work.Possible? Upped the total prize $50 bucks to $300. due to the work involved here. thanks, Marilyn
Hi First impressions count. I liked your work on the first go round. I just took a look at your portfolio and liked your south end market- (depth of color) and ski emotion ( variegated color image reflected) if that helps you capture something that plays well on white background. thanks, Marilyn
Kudo's- now you are in the game. Love the cherry bomb coloring ( so alive with excitement!)- size I am sure can be adjusted and I am sure the logo can be sent so it can be moved if needed to be positioned to the left of the name on the web page. A design constraint that exists currently with the home page.
#111 great action conveyed in the Boom Town font selection #113 Blocky Boom Town is easy to read issues with both #111 and #113 is while I love the type it is so faint to be an eye strainer to read #115 again love your type selection for boom town again- font type set is fine just unreadable #110 works a bit better visually than #114
Hi- my daughter thought the font a bit too chinese in look. You are the very best at drawing rich colors. We really do love your depth of coloration. Not really sure if any of these latest throw down text wise are an improvement. thanks, Marilyn
Hi- This was just such a close logo contest with wonderful drawings. We love your look/feel/richness that you convey. But the font choices are still up for grabs here. I would be very interested in exploring after the fact what might be worthy of "keeping" in your portfolio. The site should really let bidders pay out on the top 5.
My thought well after it is too late to do anything about it.. was that you should have taken #124 concept and applied it to my display entity bidding at fireworks of Indiana. creating either fireworks of indiana or fireworksindiana.com with that logo.
thanks for the talent and time, Marilyn OConnor boomtozoom@aol.com
