with this example the lower case letter look very good and the Capital B is ok. converting this too all cap is bad really bad because all the CAP have this outrageous upper swoosh curl
I did recreate the lower case d because the upper arm angled inward which did not work with the placemen of Barbers
This is a custom BLVD lettering, it's a cross between Black (Victorian) and vintage Art Deco.
The issue with Black font is readability the more flourishes and over extended curves make ready all cap difficult. since BLVD is all caps there is the that standard Black fonts with intricate detail do not work.
When I crate logos I take in account the industry, uses from Print, web and embroidery and sometime tattoos.
