I like the idea of the letter B in a "Blue Wheel". No Gradient necessary. Keep it flat and simple.
The font needs to change. Let's choose a higher end font that is thinner. Please reference some of the links I sent like http://www.wk.com/ and http://www.bigspaceship.com/ and apple.com all have really good fonts. Also, I do not like grey in the font. I would recommend using black on a white background or white on a black background.

Can you make that cut even more apparent? I think its sleek and edgy, like "cutting edge". It's more trendy than entry #535.
