This is a really attractive and distinctive design. I would rather see the raven be softer looking. As it is, the jagged lines make it feel a little ominous.
#47 and #32 are terrific. I do think the raven looks a little aggresive and would like it to look "friendlier." I realize that it's difficult to get this balance with a raven! I'm not sure I like the italic, though I do get that it implies a little bit of movement and may go a little better with #42, as the open wing also implies movement. I do like a serif font, in general, because it seems more serious and traditional. Thanks!
Yes, you are! The face is softer, but could still be more so. The eye maybe? It's pretty intense. Also, what about the color of the raven? It is very dark blue - almost looks black, but that may be my computer screen. Would a slightly softer blue make a difference?
Well, now that the raven is lighter, there doesn't seem to be enough contrast. Maybe darker print? Black? Dark blue? I am wondering what the print would look like with caps for the initial letters in Blue Raven. Anything that can be done to further soften the eye/beak areas would be nice to see. Still looking for the friendly raven.
I like the darker print. The wing, while softer and uplifting, does not match the style of the body as much now. The blue eye is softer, but still give me alien feeling. I think it's because birds don't have blue eyes. When you see a movie where the possessed person has differently colored eyes than normal, it give a creepy feeling. The tail, while a nice shape, can be construed as a fish tail. Maybe making some notches in it, like those in the body feathers, to say "feather." I appreciate all your changes!
