the hat makes it stereotypical. not opposed to symbols, but have to be less obvious and associated to a high level lifestyle as opposed to mexican food. modern mexican architecture may offer a good illustration of simple, classy, clean cut image im thinking of (e.g. Carlos Magaña Valladares).
Font is a bit tacky, maybe even hard to read - o looks like a.
The color is soothing and very close to a unified image. Perhaps a bit less "pastel", if that makes sense.
