Blank Plank GlassingLogo Design Contest

Hi! The shrimp is great. I like how its not too detailed. This logo will be on surfboards, so probably best to not have the mascot holding a board as in #2. One thing is the shrimp is missing the eyeglasses. I put some examples of the eyeglasses in the discussion notes. Also, this shrimp is a little too happy. The owner is sort of loveable curmudgeon and hoping for the mascot to reflect that.

Thanks! As to #4, there are some examples of the types of glasses in the description notes. These aren't quite it. I am looking for Ray Ban Wayfarers (as eyeglasses, not sunglasses) because thats what the owner ALWAYS wears!

I saw it was going for the general shape not an exact copy of the glasses... we are not allowed to trace any element in our designs.

Yes, I was not asking for an exact copy, just the general shape. Wayfarers are the most popular and most copied glass shape, so its likely okay to do a general idea of the shape. Ok hope this is closer I also thickened lines a bit to make it easier to print small... AND tried a different expression... Happy to adjust more... by the way I am just over the hill from you... in Cupertino

Hi Cupertino!

I like the face and that its less details. The expression really works for me. What is bothering me is that I don't know how obvious it is that this is a shrimp. This little guy is almost buglike. I don't have any specific advice, but maybe there is something to do to give it more obvious shrimplike qualities, whatever that may be!

Also, after the contest I would love to get your contact info!

Of course... I will work on this over the weekend when I am doing design play.... there are different kinds of shrimp of course.

You can ask admin to extend the open phase - OR pick the top 5 designers and they can continue to design for another 2 days...
