Hello Karl,

Thank you for reviewing my entries. I wanted to go with an "old school" retro look for your logo. I included the Lab in a several poses to choose from. I also went with vintage fonts in keeping with the retro look and the "craft beer" feel. Please feel free to suggest any changes or variations you may like to see. Your feedback is much appreciated. :)

Cheers!

Thanks for the submissions, I wished you had entered these earlier as there is some great aspects to consider. I love the shape and stance of the dog in #136 , maybe drop the 3 stars and barley and replace with the 5 stars in #131, with and without the grass.
Thanks heaps, your work is great.

Given the time left don't be afraid to start with the dog shape in #136 as I think this is the best shaped dog submitted in the competition so far. Hopefully you can see what I like with the fading shadowing from bright in the middle to dark at the left and right margins.

Hi Karl,

Thanks for the feedback. it helps a great deal. I presented a few more option based on your comments. Hopefully, I understood and got what you wanted.

I was not sure about the sentence: " Hopefully you can see what I like with the fading shadowing from bright in the middle to dark at the left and right margins." Can you please give me some more direction?

Just let me know of any changes or suggestions you may like to see. :)

Cheers!

Please drop the stars and create a fading shadow for all the back ground such that the left and right margins of the logo are dark and the middle where the dog is stays the brightest, hopefully you know what a I mean from other logos I have suggested this to. It will be on a black and white car with the merging of the logo onto the black door. Love the grass being included. With the stars gone don't be afraid to shift the slogan to the top of the logo.

Thanks Karl.

I understand. :) Funny that you mention switching to slogan to the top. I already had done a version like that, but did not include it in the initial batch. I'll include it with the new background.

Thanks

Great effort, is there a shadow intensity half way between #170 and #168 to give the spot lighting effect that you have?

Hi Karl,

Yes, the shadowing can be adjusted, I do a version in between. Either way don't worry, I can also make adjustment when needed. As with the other designers, I would upload the required files and then there are additional files the we would send directly. You will probably want the logo also on a plain white field so that a local printer can make further adjustments such as color matching your vehicle or placing the logo on a website...

Please feel free to request anything else you may like to see.

Cheers.

Please put the slogan in a straight line at the bottom of the logo.

Hi Karl,

I would need to be temporarily moved to first. Only first rank has an "upload" button and can enter revision while in the judging phase. You can alway rank at will and change at will.

If you do change the rank to allow for the upload, please leave a message here. This way, I will get the email. Otherwise, we don't know that the ranking has changed.

Thanks

Thanks for the advice, could you please enlarge the dog slightly such that it dominates the logo more and change the postage stamp margin to something less busy-I like the type set and shading of the words.

Hi Karl,

I forgot to ask, but would you like a less 3 dimensional view of the dog. Some of my earlier versions were flat silhouettes. I went changing them using different shading techniques to get different looks and feels, so it was never really addressed. I don't want you to feel that those are the only choices at this point, I can go back to a flat version. Just let me know. :)

Cheers.

Hi Marcelo, please change #202 to a flat silhouette. Thanks- I will put it as first ranked once another logo has come in.

Hi Karl,

All based on #202 -
#206 Flat lab with slight outer glow (very fine edging around dog)
#207 Flat lab (no edging line around it)
#208 Flat lab and straight black grass too.
I personally like a bit of depth in the shading (but that's just me). We are also required to send out a line-art version to the client, so you end up with an additional black & white version regardless ("line-art" means no gradients or fades) :)
