The overall style is kept simple in terms of shapes and elements so that it can work at any size, for example printed on a napkin or uniform (or embroidered);
The whole design can fit into a circle, or just the cup/cat icon can fit into a circle, for use as a social media profile image.
The cat's pupils are curved to represent a coffee bean; and the eyes have that look of the feeling of a double shot coffee!

This one is a coffee bean plant stem, which doesn't detract or make the overall design too busy.
And also a Lazy Cat version with eyes closed.
