I've done some final proportional tweaks on this design,...cleaner birch leaf design, more centralized word "BJORK", and slight color modification. If you choose to go with this design concept, this version would be my suggestion for you.
Conceptualy, both Swedish and American elements coexist in non-intrusive way, and the focus is on the name BJORK, as it should be, visualy, by meanning, and by color connected to birch leaves, surronding it on a ribbon element. There's also that bridge element created on the American segment (horizontal line with stars, as bridge connecting heritage of two countries, with stripes, as bridge supporting pillars)! I've also provided monochromatic/grayscale version, that is deliverable, and might come handy for some printing applications,...entry #116!
Thank you and let me know if I can be of further assistance! Cheers!
Yes,...there is some grunge effect, but we can remove it if you want! I've tried to develop this emblem, and it turned out quite well, both symbolicaly and aestheticaly. Thank you for your constructive feedback, and hope your family likes it! I'll upload version without grunge effect!
we like the white leaves the best... we are wondering if there is some texture in the blue background ? There appears to be something going on in the background especially on the left side...
Next step we are surveying our family members
Sure thing,...we can test some color options,...if purple shade is what you're after, we can try that, but it'll reduce Swedish component a bit. Be back soon!
...I've tried to conceptualy update this design, by modifying American flag segment, so it resembles a bridge (part with 5 stars, with stripes as supporting pillars), as symbol of connection between Sweden and US! Might be unique concept, with strong background story? Let me know what you think!
P.S. We can also apply this concept on design #58/#59, in case you prefer shield form!
This might be conceptualy interesting, with those Swedish flah cross elements in the upper shield corners,...subtle, but very unique element! Any thoughts/suggestions? Thank you!
I've done some testing,...uploaded entries #46, #47, #48 and #49! These are simpler designs, but if you prefer more effects, like on my initial enries, we can do that as well!
I'll try to develop some round shaped emblems, and in the mean time let me know what you think of these! Thank you!
we would like to see some more options based on this design - maybe some rounds also. Take out the word 'Family'. Font is too gothic/old-fashioned, we would like something cleaner. We like the combo of Swedish three crowns AND American Flag - so more options in this

Also do you see any opportunity to incorporate a birch bark look into the design?
