Hi! Here's the same concept with various treatments to see how it could be applied. It would also work very well in a single color. As the icon is stylized beyond a simple helmet, it would be different/strong enough to use without the words - for instance, if it was stamped on a mouthgard in the front. If you have any suggestions for improvement, colors you'd like to try, font revisions, etc., please let me know! I'd love to hear any thoughts you might have for improvement.

Thanks for the feedback! Here are some revised versions. I'm submitting "flat" color, so you can see how that looks. 3D / shine effects can always be added later. It's kinda hard to reproduce all those effects outside of the web (for instance, having it printed small on a mouthpiece, business card or invoice or even stitching it on a tshirt - it is much better to have a flat color version)

Excellent point about the mouth area being open - I closed that up (referenced a gladiator-style helmet and then updated the look) Also removed the wings - I was going for a harley davidson / affliction feel - modernized, though. I think it works without, though - too. More focus on the helmet

Anything else I can do to make this logo perfect for you, please let me know.
thanks!

Here are a couple entries on black with some chrome - what do you think of the new type face....I tried to give it a more sharp/aggressive feel. Everything still works in single, flat color too. (you'll definitely want a single color, no effect version for screen printing, invoices/faxes, shipping containers, embroidering - bags, hats, etc.)

let me know you what you think...if I'm headed in the right direction or not!. :)

thanks

Good job Josh. You are right about the single color like the size of the circle and helmet in #11. I understand why you beefed it up but still prefer it. I don't mind the font being thicker than the emblem. Speaking of the fonts, the new one, (#18) is more aggressive but too busy. #19 is too asymmetrically rounded. I don't mind asymmetrical fonts, just not this one.

cool - thanks for the feedback. I'll look through some of the other fonts I have and find one that works!

Here are a couple new fonts - let me know if I'm on the right track or if I should keep looking.

Here's another version with a brushed texture added to the silver.

Josh, I hate the "B" on #42 and #43. Sorry. #44 is just too busy. I have a font on my computer called "laserian" that I downloaded from www.getfreefonts.info that is good. I like a clean, bold style font in the neighborhood of an Arial Black.
Also can you make the helmet a bit smaller? It still feels too big. Maybe it is because of the color difference between #11 and #42. Can you make the shadow color on the helmet a little darker as well?

here are two new entries based on feedback. I gave the helmet a blue tone so that the highlight would stand out better. If you'd prefer it silver, I can change it back easily. Also - did you like the brushed metal effect or the clean metal?

thanks for the feedback / consideration

HI Josh,

Please make the helmet silver so I can see it. And please make it smaller. I really liked the spacing on #11 between the circle and the helmet. I don't mean to make the circle smaller, just the helmet. The clean silver is the version I like most. Thanks again.
