Here is one of my proposals. Instead of creating a separate icon / typography combination, I've created an all encompassing logo / unit. One that can be used for additional elements just as branding stamps, watermarks, shirt badges/embroidery etc.
The logo is 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.
Thanks for your proposals. They're really intriguing, and we like your approach - and appreciate your points that this is a very flexible approach that would be very effective in any context.
Here are some alternative possibilities: we're curious as to how it would look with the bottom 'bracket' removed, and the stars moved down so they're in the center of the word 'nation'. Could you try that with the white background, and different color combinations for the text/bracket/stars? Also, how about each word being half red/half blue (i.e., top and bottom) as another look? Or have Big one color, Tent the other, and Nation half/half?
I like the star pattern on 51 and 52, and we're debating the possibility of a gray 'nation' on these. We'd also like to see those two star/bracket patterns with a 'nation' split red/blue top and bottom instead of left and right (as on 54). This might make it hard to read, but it would be good to see.
Sure thing! Here are those versions; #55, #56, #57 and #58! Although the splitting of "nation" horizontally is still legible, I think it works better, and is stronger, either as a solid colour or vertically split :)
