The overlapping planes of the icon represent interaction and problem solving - the sharpness of the icon and the cross shape reinforces the requirements that the logo communicate your emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, and helping customers make better business decisions.
Thanks very much for this design; it's one of our early favorites. Can we see a version of this logo with a few adjustments? How about changing the right-hand part of the cross from orange to green; and also move the "BI" away from the "Source" slightly (so there's a space between the words). Finally, can we include the period at the end of our slogan, "Make Better Decisions. " and try some different fonts for the slogan. One font that seemed to work pretty well for the slogan was a serif font that another designer used.
I checked around, and no one seems to be into that other design. But still plenty of support for the cross. Thanks again! Any other ideas, please feel free to submit them as well.
I think we should try other splashes of color on that cross, so that none of the planes are gray. Also, can we put the cross to the left of "BI Source", but not above it... just lined up on the left side, and the same height as the company name.
Thanks. We're gravitating towards colorful icons, so I thought I'd suggest this.
I just had one more thought to throw in here- When you do the changes in my note above, I think it would then be prudent to try changing the "BI" to the same color as "Source" (the dark-blue to light-blue gradient). That way, the colors of the logo won't look too "busy" with the four-color cross involved.
I welcome your comments and ideas too. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing back from you soon.
Thanks for that - yes I totally agree with that about the BI color. It will streamline the design more. I'll take these comments into consideration with next upload. Appreciate your thoughts.
#124 A different font for the BI Source - a bit more blocky, you may prefer.
#123 Looking at adding more "pieces" but I fear it might be getting too busy. Let me know your thoughts as I could explore further if you think it's worthwhile.
#120 BI colored as per Source. #121 icon positioned to the left.
