Hope it all works out well. 7 years ago mdmx24 commented on #85 I clicked the button too early. So now I'll have to make to do. My apologies 7 years ago I.D.ea Factory commented on #85 I was actually working on some more submissions, looks like you chose before the time was up. Was surprised to see the contest ended when I went in to check on updates. 7 years ago mdmx24 commented on #85 Talking about text from personalized body shaping and below. Yes I've thought about putting the logo and and name on one side then putting the rest on the other side. If I get a logo I love , I might do that. But for now , if u made " your body just better" a little smaller..that might help free up some room beneath. Also not a fan of the half pink line under bod. And the " personalized body shaping" should be more bold since that is what I'm selling. 7 years ago I.D.ea Factory commented on #85 When you refer to the clumped up text do you mean the secondary text at the bottom of the design, the bullet points and the contact info, or are you talking about the typpography within the logo portion of the layout (your name and slogan)? Just wanting to confirm so I know which text to revise or spread out more. If this is ultimately for a business card design you could always separate these two groups of elements and just have the logo on the reverse side of the card (looking like the on in 3rd place) and then maybe just the typography portion (minus figures) on the info side of card with the smaller secondary text. This would allow you to make that secondary text larger and easier to read. Mainly just curious which text is throwing it off for ya. Thanks! 7 years ago I.D.ea Factory commented on #85 Thanks! 7 years ago mdmx24 commented on #85 It's hard to say because although I like the images ( they're not to " fitness-y") im looking for something more creative, like in the other one you referred too. Working the design to incorporate into the B's. The figures can be more abstract if need be. If like to see another design completely by you if you don't mind. Also I'm not crazy about the layout of text. Everythings kinda all clumped together . I'm excited to see what else you come up with. 7 years ago I.D.ea Factory commented on #85 Let me know what you might like to see tweaked on the design here that currently sits in 2nd place, that could make it your 1st choice. I'd be glad to revise the colors, the typography and placement of letters, or options for the figures if there is a direction you'd like me to go with them. I notice the 1st place designer has a ribbon like figure being one of the B's, although I can't do the same concept with it being theirs I can do similar effect with different shapes as the middle B like that. Thanks! Look forward to the feedback and would love to help your business with a winning logo. 7 years ago I.D.ea Factory commented on #71 Thanks for the feedback! 7 years ago mdmx24 commented on #71 i understand artistically what youre saying about why you have the man placed where you do. im just telling you what id like. also in re: to sexiness...to me the two figures are night and day. the man says fitness, the female says lingere model. she has no tone to her whatsoever. ive been dealing with many designs during this competition so i know there are ways she can be portrayed and positioned to give me what im looking for . im looking forward to seeing what you come up with. im here to help clarify anything for you if need be. thanks 7 years ago I.D.ea Factory commented on #59 Withdrawn Cool, I made the text larger on the other design and the icon smaller so that did help fit that business card layout better. I'll work on this one to get it closer to that scale. Thanks! 7 years ago I.D.ea Factory commented on #71 I can also make the grey a deeper grey so that the male torso recedes even more and so the pink female torso pops a little more. It helps that the largest and most noticeable presence here is the word 'bodies' and she matches in color and sits in there with it so it definitely allows her to be seen first, front and center, even if the male is equal in emphasis once the eye sees it all. 7 years ago I.D.ea Factory commented on #71 I made her dominant by making that center line the pink color, putting here in front and in that brighter color. The grey recedes against the black more and so even though he might appear larger, men are generally larger and so these would be more to scale of a couple. I can bold her lines a bit more and thin his a little if you think that will help. I am not sure how without removing the breast that is in the center of the body to make her less sexy. I have to bend her back in this pose to make the concept work where she contours the male torso. otherwise I will just have to separate them into two shapes and make them interact somehow for composition. If I turn her to where I am showing her back and only the profile of one breast then the backside has to be more defined, which could also come across as just as sexy a pose or line work. I will work within this business card enclosure if you like that aspect of the design, to box it in where it is always on the black background. 7 years ago I.D.ea Factory commented on #70 This one is based off the sketch I mentioned in the other submission's comments. I know the placement of the figures might come across as suggestive but the concept is that the back line of the female form contours the same lines as the side of the male torso. They share that center fluid line and I used the pink there on that line since you wanted to emphasize the feminine aspects more than the male in the over all logo, which puts her in front and helps her noticed first with tying her in with the larger pink type. I wasn't 100% sure on your notes about the scale of a business card. Didn't know if you meant literally fill those dimensions or just make it work well on a business card back. I also just submitted one like this one but in a business card shaped enclosure. It would allow you to use the actual logo as a rectangle so you can always have it on the black background, or you can use it this way here where it can be dropped on any dark color and actually work on white as well, keeping colors grey and pink. 7 years ago mdmx24 commented on #71 getting better. the womans gotta a be a tiny bit less "sexy" and the female should also be the dominant figure. i feel thats not the case here. 7 years ago mdmx24 commented on #59 Withdrawn i know. i noticed the difference, but not everyones as observant so im asking for something else still. perhaps a little more distinguishable. and yes, thats exactly what im asking for re: the layout. looking forward to seeing the other sketch :-) 7 years ago I.D.ea Factory commented on #59 Withdrawn The grey form in the icon I sent was a male torso, broader shoulders and smaller on the hip area, and also the grey depicts the more masculine in color. The female was in pink and the hips were more emphasized with smaller shoulder area, so both were represented in the icon. They grey was also a larger shape showing the relation between an average female size and male body size. 7 years ago I.D.ea Factory commented on #59 Withdrawn I do have a little sketch doodle that is similar to the examples you put on the contest brief but I haven't digitally rendered it yet. Can get it drawn out and submitted for you. You just want the elements of the logo to be laid out to where they fit the 2 x 3.5 dimensions right, like the icon scaled down and text adjusted to where it looks good within a business card layout? Thanks! 7 years ago mdmx24 commented on #59 Withdrawn and for the image it needs to depict a male figure and a female . yours shows more female 7 years ago mdmx24 commented on #59 Withdrawn and please fit this to scale a standard 2x 3.5" business card for accuracy. thanks 7 years ago mdmx24 commented on #59 Withdrawn hi. i like it. but do you have any other idea for the way to portray the bodies in the image? 7 years ago I.D.ea Factory commented on #58 I have a few elements within this design that are fun to discover. The icon on the left of course is half of the front of a female torso and half the front of a male torso, the woman emphasizing hips and smaller upper body and the male emphasizing broader shoulders and more of a squarish lower portion. The male can be represented in several colors, dark blue with the magenta or the black here, or green, etc. The torsos are actually B's for the Better Bodies initials. They aren't real obvious B's but once you notice they are made with the hint of a B shape it is difficult to not see the letter within them. I like how the word BETTER is naturally balanced with the double T's in the center and E's flanking them, the the B and R being very similar in structure. This centers perfectly over the 'BOD' portion of the word BODIES. BOD being a shortened or flirty way of expressing the word BODY. I put the magenta bar under just those letters, which also perfectly balance with the 'b' and 'd' being the same element just mirrored on both sides of the 'o'. I also centered the "Your body," portion of the slogan under the pink bar and finished the rest out to be flush with the right side of the logo. I put a light reflection effect on the word 'bodies' just to give it a little depth or flare but that can be solid magenta just the same. The torsos can be adjusted if you don't like them as large in relation to the type, but right now they give the logo a nice balance with the angle downward from male shoulder to tops of both rows of type. I submitted a black background version along with this one to show versatility and made the black areas grey. 7 years ago
