#145 Can you change the font to like a Bookman Old Style, also can you change the color of "Don't Replace! Restore! to something that stands out a little better?
156 and 157 just uploaded. Wasn't exactly sure if you wanted the orange one to be all like i did or just wanted the don't replace, restore in the orange while leaving the fence green. Please advise.
#157 - Can I please get the font changed to "Californian FB" (BAY FENCE & Don't Replace..) & get a line above "Don't Replace! Restore" & change Preserve to Restore.
Everyone is loving this logo!!! Thanks for working with me & making awesome, creative, changes!
Problem: I don't own either of those fonts and looking it up on the web, even though they show up on some free download sites,, their license doesn't allow anyone who doesn't own them to use (especially for commercial purposes). As a designer I have to be very careful of these kind of things/license issues. I have a ton of fonts that i do own that I could look for similar fonts that i do own if you wish and give you a couple of options. (Also, please note that to fit any of these in the fence posts, i will have to do what i did to the Bookman Old Style and make them a little taller and narrower proportionally.)
ps: 170 is a smaller font size than 169 or 171 so it occupies the space of the fence a little less, but is probably a little less slim proportionately as well.
174 has the changes you requested re: wording and color. (Do you need to see all of the font options with those changes right now, or particular ones?)
and don't worry about asking for changes--want to get this right for you! Thanks so much for your feedback and direction.
175 is a lighter form of the Bookman Old Style, 174 is the thicker Bookman Old Style that is in 157 (i hadn't put up the thinner form before--just the bolder one). 177 is the Perpetua Titling (old version 173) 179 is the Goudy Old Style Bold (same as old 170) And the other two i can't quite tell which is the goudy and which is the romana (the way these things upload it doesn't always go in order, but I can probably do an overlay to make sure.
And, please forgive me because i forgot to change the Preserve to Restore on these. But rather than delete all of them and reload with that minor change, I am going to leave it until you decide on a couple of the fonts or one of the fonts if that is alright, since it won't really change the look or balance of it since it is all in the dark gray at this point and fairly equal in length.
No problem on the wording. No changes at the moment... I'm really happy with it, but I'm going to get some feed back and probably get back to you in the morning. Have great evening!!!
Can you point me to a couple that appeal to you (if i don't have it, i can probably find a similar one). This part takes quite a bit of manipulation to have it fit right, so if i don't go in blind, i'll have more of a chance of success and less of a chance of just working a lot of time on something that isn't going to be worth it. (does that make sense?)(btw---fontsquirrel.com has a bunch of free fonts that are all okay for commercial use as well and http://www.1001fonts.com/ will tell you up front if it is free for commercial use or not. I also have many that aren't free but i own, as well, so I can probably at least come close to something you like or in the style of.
Hi. We must be connected. I was just about to send you a message that i wasn't ignoring you, just hadn't had a chance to get to it yet. I just finished downloading those fonts, and since this is the trickiest part with the Staining and getting it to fit especially on the S part, it won't probably be up for awhile. But will be working on it. :-) C
just going to add a hint here also. When there are so many similar ones up, sometimes it is good to isolate the one you are looking at by using your hands so you get what it will look like on it's lonesome without a lot of other visual input in the "background". You can sometimes get a better feel for how it strikes you that way. :-) c
I really like your logo, but I'm not 100%. We have a general contracting business & Bay Fence Staining is a sub-business. I love our logo to our other business & we've been in business for 7 years. I just don't want to have buyers remorse. It's a very classic look & of course I don't want the same logo, but I'm thinking more of a word mark. My husband likes the logo that's in 2nd place, but I usually make those decisions but if I can't come to a decision... I'll let him make it. Can you still make changes? If so... I would like "Bay Fence Staining in one sentence, with a line above & a line below, these are the different fonts: RM Typerighter Medium, UnderWorld, Pupcat Rg, RM Almanack... they are on 1001fonts.com. Also can I get them with & without all caps? I appreciate everything that you have done! If you have other fonts or similar ideas please submit them. Also I like the green for the font.
I have one other version, i just did if you want to see. Basically the top part of the fence has no letters in it. Right below that it has BAY FENCE in ITC Benguit in all green. Then the next layer has the bottom part of the fence, but with Staining reversed out of black fence pieces. Then don't replace it, restore it is in a script.
Let me know if you move me back to 1st for at least a temporary upload, so i don't miss the opportunity. thx C
The top part with no letters in it now is all green rather than the split black and green Second layer with BAY FENCE is same green, no background Bottom layer Fence slats has the letters in it (like before where i had the letters in each slat only this time in the bottom layer of slats has the individual layers.
I've put together a few more options of the above and closer to the shape/stance of my 50 and your current top, but using various color placement, type styles and fence slat enclosures. Currently have 6 variations I could upload. I understand if you do reposition me to first to upload these, that you might very well choose to move me back down. C
