Cool! 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #143 If not, I'll have to look at this a bit longer to make sure we've got it perfect before I select it as the winner. Thanks. 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #143 Absolutely 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #143 Okay, I think we're all set. Would you be willing to include various levels of distressing for each word so we have them available for embroidery vs banner-sized printing? 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #143 Thank you 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #143 Excellent! I'll show this to my partner and get back to you as soon as I hear back from him. Should be tonight but might be tomorrow. Thanks again! 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #142 Withdrawn Great, thanks. I use AI when I do my own stuff so that's great for me. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #142 Withdrawn Sorry, I just meant rotated just a tiny bit towards each other...Actually, though, I kind of the like the paw print angled the same as the dog tag it's on...so let me think about that. But the boot should definitely be rotated back almost to where you had it before. Thanks for doing the color changes. My partner & I both think Battle should be blue instead of red. 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #142 Withdrawn Done. I'll provide you with .AI, .EPS, .PDF, .JPG, and .PNG plus black / white variations in all formats 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #137 Withdrawn Just talked to my partner and we both really like all the different ways you've made the logo work/look awesome. Just a few more minor things: 1. Could we see the colors reversed? - Switch the colors of the dog tags (blue on left with paw print and red on right with boot) - Battle in blue with normal distressing - Buddies in red with NO distressing 2. Rotate paw print and boot print in towards each other a bit...maybe 5-7 degrees. And how do you supply the file/s? AI or EPS or PS or PDF? Thanks. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #141 Withdrawn Wow, that looks really cool reversed out like that! Thanks. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #140 Withdrawn Thanks, I appreciate that as it may be necessary at some point to produce the logo in just one color. 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #141 Withdrawn one color variations ... 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #136 Withdrawn colors can be edited at any time. but if you decide to go with my design, I'll provide you with both options 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #136 Withdrawn And I'm completely undecided on the text color options—they both look great! 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #134 Withdrawn Yes, that's more of what I had in mind. Thanks. 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #135 Withdrawn I like this version too ... 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #134 Withdrawn updated is that what you mean? 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #132 Withdrawn More anatomically accurate but not as good, as I figured. Can you give it another shot? 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #130 Withdrawn Great! Good to see that it can still get the point across with less detail. How about the paw print? Would you play with that a bit as well? Not to simplify it, but for some variations. Thanks very much. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #129 Withdrawn Nice work on the boot. I'd like to see an even more simplified version of it...but it still has to reflect a military footprint. And while I love the extra distressing of the text, I wasn't clear in my last request. I was just looking for the more distressed version you'd done most recently for us (the one with the dog head) vs the less distressed version that I was commenting back to you on. (Yeah, I'm having trouble following that myself.) Clear enough? 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #129 Withdrawn Looks good memorable 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #64 Withdrawn I'm on it 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #64 Withdrawn My partner is asking for variations for both the dog print and the boot print. Thanks. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #64 Withdrawn Please use the darker blue and the more distressed text. Thanks. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #64 Withdrawn Hi, Max. Could you try a simplified version of the boot print? Part of the reason I love your logo is its simplicity and I'd like to keep that. Or at least have a version that—when printed small—is simpler. Thanks. 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #121 Withdrawn Thanks 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #121 Withdrawn Glad you enjoyed it. It was fun for me to be on this end of the design process. We'll let you know soon which we decide on. Thanks again! 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #121 Withdrawn Thank you for an interesting contest really inspirational 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #109 Withdrawn still my favorite ... 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #121 Withdrawn PAW 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #121 Withdrawn on the other hand BATTLE = STAR BUDDIE = DOG 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #121 Withdrawn Good point about the paw print being interpreted as another animal's. I'll show it to my partner and we'll consider it. Thanks. 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #118 Withdrawn thank you 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #118 Withdrawn Also very cool. And I appreciate the talent it takes to make a 1-color logo look so great. Thanks! 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #121 Withdrawn Great dog illustration but I like your version with the paw print more. I do prefer BATTLE in blue and BUDDIES in red, though. Good change! 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #119 Withdrawn paw can be interpreted as any pet. cat? 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #109 Withdrawn Cool. I like the more distressed look on the text. And the darker blue adds some 'seriousness'. I can't think of anything else right now. I've got a lot to review tonight and will be back in touch tomorrow. Thanks again. 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #109 Withdrawn little bit more faded font 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #108 Withdrawn dark blue 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #106 Withdrawn Excellent. Thanks! 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #107 Withdrawn Cool, thanks. 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #107 Withdrawn To show how it might look in black and white print 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #48 Withdrawn Max, Could you make the blue darker? Thanks. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #64 Withdrawn Looks great! Thank you! 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #64 Withdrawn here is a boot print 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #63 Withdrawn Nice! I'm not sure if I like it better than the star but it works pretty well! Forwarding to my partner... 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #62 Withdrawn I had the same thought but it still looks disconnected to me. I like the tilt you gave it. I did the same for my own logo, GoodDogWorkshop.com Just texted with my partner and he agreed the compass is good but not better than your design with out. However, being the design genius you are, you're likely to come up with a way to make it work great. I'll leave it to you if you want to continue playing around with that, though. Like I've been saying, I love your 2 tags and words design. The other thing I've been asked to suggest is a boot print in place of the star in the blue tag. I thought of this a while ago but hesitated as I swear I've seen that in another logo somewhere, and I'd prefer to be original. Thanks again! Brian 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #63 Withdrawn updated 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #61 Withdrawn That's what I was afraid of: the compass is too small to recognize. How would it look with an 8-pointed compass replacing the star? 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #60 Withdrawn Very clever! My one concern is that the compass now visually separates the dog tags from the words. Let me think on this a bit... Great work! Thanks again! 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #48 Withdrawn Max, My partner just told me he really likes the compass idea so can you take a couple more stabs at it? Maybe replace the star with a compass. Another thought might be to take a single element from a compass and work that in. And I'm totally speaking off the cuff here: Maybe the directional needle as the A or the 'hole' in the A (insert jokes involving A and hole)... Hmmmm...I like the compass idea for the Battle Buddies purpose, but I'm just not seeing it in the logo right now. Let me know if you come up with anything. Thanks. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #56 Withdrawn Yeah, something like that would work for web pages, but overall your design is best as you've had it. Thanks! 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #56 Withdrawn one more 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #55 Withdrawn Ha! I had the same thought. Maybe the compass could work as a faded background but, really, your design is gonna be pretty hard to improve upon. Thanks again. Brian 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #55 Withdrawn one more 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #50 Withdrawn No, this one doesn't work but thanks for showing me. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #51 Withdrawn That works better than the compass in the paw print...but I'm not sure it's an improvement on your awesome design. Thanks for showing me! 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #48 Withdrawn Thank you :) 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #48 Withdrawn Yes, thank you. I have no other suggestions at this point but I'll be in touch later today. Great work, Max! Thanks again. Brian 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #48 Withdrawn Hi is that what you mean? 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #46 Withdrawn Thanks for showing me both versions with the chain. The brain wants the chain to be completed but it's a little distracting when it is. Very interesting. For right now, would you rotate the paw print so it's tilted left of center rather than right? Thank you. 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #44 Withdrawn Thank you 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #44 Withdrawn Really nice! Thank you. I'm gonna sleep on these and get back to you tomorrow. 5 years ago Source 52 commented on #44 Withdrawn one more 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #42 Withdrawn Not bad at all but your other one speaks to me more. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #41 Withdrawn Very cool! Nice and simple. I really like the simple way you used the star. Could you show me something like that with a paw print and combat boot print, but in a subtle way? Is there distressing in "Buddies" or just "Battle"? Thank you for a great first submission! 5 years ago
