Okay, I think we're all set. Would you be willing to include various levels of distressing for each word so we have them available for embroidery vs banner-sized printing?
Sorry, I just meant rotated just a tiny bit towards each other...Actually, though, I kind of the like the paw print angled the same as the dog tag it's on...so let me think about that. But the boot should definitely be rotated back almost to where you had it before. Thanks for doing the color changes. My partner & I both think Battle should be blue instead of red.
Just talked to my partner and we both really like all the different ways you've made the logo work/look awesome.
Just a few more minor things:
1. Could we see the colors reversed?
- Switch the colors of the dog tags (blue on left with paw print and red on right with boot)
- Battle in blue with normal distressing
- Buddies in red with NO distressing
2. Rotate paw print and boot print in towards each other a bit...maybe 5-7 degrees.
And how do you supply the file/s? AI or EPS or PS or PDF?
Nice work on the boot. I'd like to see an even more simplified version of it...but it still has to reflect a military footprint.
And while I love the extra distressing of the text, I wasn't clear in my last request. I was just looking for the more distressed version you'd done most recently for us (the one with the dog head) vs the less distressed version that I was commenting back to you on. (Yeah, I'm having trouble following that myself.) Clear enough?
Hi, Max. Could you try a simplified version of the boot print? Part of the reason I love your logo is its simplicity and I'd like to keep that. Or at least have a version that—when printed small—is simpler. Thanks.
I had the same thought but it still looks disconnected to me. I like the tilt you gave it. I did the same for my own logo, GoodDogWorkshop.com
Just texted with my partner and he agreed the compass is good but not better than your design with out. However, being the design genius you are, you're likely to come up with a way to make it work great. I'll leave it to you if you want to continue playing around with that, though. Like I've been saying, I love your 2 tags and words design.
The other thing I've been asked to suggest is a boot print in place of the star in the blue tag. I thought of this a while ago but hesitated as I swear I've seen that in another logo somewhere, and I'd prefer to be original.
Max, My partner just told me he really likes the compass idea so can you take a couple more stabs at it? Maybe replace the star with a compass. Another thought might be to take a single element from a compass and work that in. And I'm totally speaking off the cuff here: Maybe the directional needle as the A or the 'hole' in the A (insert jokes involving A and hole)...
Hmmmm...I like the compass idea for the Battle Buddies purpose, but I'm just not seeing it in the logo right now. Let me know if you come up with anything. Thanks.
Ha! I had the same thought. Maybe the compass could work as a faded background but, really, your design is gonna be pretty hard to improve upon. Thanks again.
Brian
Thanks for showing me both versions with the chain. The brain wants the chain to be completed but it's a little distracting when it is. Very interesting.
For right now, would you rotate the paw print so it's tilted left of center rather than right? Thank you.

How about the paw print? Would you play with that a bit as well? Not to simplify it, but for some variations. Thanks very much.

I do prefer BATTLE in blue and BUDDIES in red, though. Good change!

I can't think of anything else right now. I've got a lot to review tonight and will be back in touch tomorrow.
Thanks again.

My one concern is that the compass now visually separates the dog tags from the words.
Let me think on this a bit...
Great work! Thanks again!

I really like the simple way you used the star. Could you show me something like that with a paw print and combat boot print, but in a subtle way?
Is there distressing in "Buddies" or just "Battle"?
Thank you for a great first submission!
