Wow, that's taking it a bit too far. 5 years ago David commented on #86 Withdrawn pantone changes colors and tones every year... you should see pantone's 2018 color of the year ... oh my god... 5 years ago David commented on #111 Withdrawn you have a week to chose a winner after the finals... usually it never take so long .... 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #86 Withdrawn Just now seeing this comment. Yes, Pantone 294 is boring...that's what America Online's original logo was when I did design work for them. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #111 Withdrawn Really? How does it work after this stage? This is my first time using LogoTournament. 5 years ago David commented on #122 Withdrawn perfect then :) 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #122 Withdrawn Yeah! That's what I was looking for. Very cool! Sharing that now with my partner... Thanks again! 5 years ago David commented on #122 Withdrawn version with points a tad larger inside a keystone shape. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #123 Withdrawn No, that doesn't do it for me... 5 years ago David commented on #123 Withdrawn pointy, but outside the circle...also added a small blue offset, to make it visible and prominent. 5 years ago David commented on #111 Withdrawn actually you have more than a week :) 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #111 Withdrawn No problem. We still have 3 hours left. 5 years ago David commented on #111 Withdrawn i can try. i just need a moment. i might have worked something. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #111 Withdrawn Can you make the N, E & W compass points a bit more prominent? Maybe they pierce/break the outer edge of the circle...perhaps with the point inside a "keystone" shape? Just tossing out ideas. Thanks. 5 years ago David commented on #111 Withdrawn a real pleasure . 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #111 Withdrawn Looks good! Thank you very much. 5 years ago David commented on #99 Withdrawn slight larger compass designations : #111. thank you. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #99 Withdrawn Agreed. Just make the compass points/designations a little bigger/more prominent please. Thanks again! 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #98 Withdrawn Hmmm...I like the extra detail of the two lines and the white space between helps the soldier's head stand out. Let me look at your other one... 5 years ago David commented on #99 Withdrawn i personally like this one. 5 years ago David commented on #93 Withdrawn is the thought i had too. work in progress. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #93 Withdrawn Just had a thought: What about making the compass like the bezel on a Breitling wristwatch? The points are "contained" within two circles/rings? 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #93 Withdrawn More or less, yes. I REALLY like the round vs the triangular shape. The points on the compass aren't quite right... You're definitely headed in the right direction. Right now they look too spiky like a medieval weapon. Just thinking off the top of my head here... - How about trying the compass points/directions as arrows rather than points? Something more of a HINT rather than a sharp point?... - Another designer tried something with the N, E, S and W letters and the letters were too obvious and detracted from the rest of the design. But I still need it to be clear that it's a compass. - Would it look good to try the compass/points "faded" a bit in the background? I'm being picky so I'm gonna upgrade this competition another $50. Thanks for your responsiveness and hard work! 5 years ago David commented on #93 Withdrawn more or less what you had in mind ? 5 years ago David commented on #92 Withdrawn roger that. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #92 Withdrawn I'm thinking just simple/subtle but I'm open to either. I just don't want the compass to overpower the rest of the design. Definitely want the American flag to remain. 5 years ago David commented on #92 Withdrawn loud and clear. just how would you like the compass ? i mean a simple something / idea of compass or a more elaborate one ? 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #92 Withdrawn Yeah, that looks good! Just got a suggestion from my partner: Could you show us a compass instead of the triangle? Maybe not the entire compass but just elements of a compass. Part of what our Battle Buddies program does is to help soldiers/veterans find "direction" in their lives, so the right image of a compass could demonstrate that perfectly. Am I being clear with this? Thanks! 5 years ago David commented on #90 Withdrawn withdrawn too . 5 years ago David commented on #89 Withdrawn withrawn . 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #90 Withdrawn That's better but I think I like the reversed combo even more. Thanks. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #89 Withdrawn No, not that combination... 5 years ago David commented on #92 Withdrawn reversed blues version. 5 years ago David commented on #90 Withdrawn PANTONE 294 C - 5 years ago David commented on #86 Withdrawn i think you are talking about PANTONE 294 C ...but...i find that particular color a bit... dull...i'll prepare a version. 5 years ago David commented on #89 Withdrawn i have used a navy blue shade here. if there is a particular blue you'd like me to use...please... 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #86 Withdrawn Could you show me a different shade of blue for some of the elements? I'd like to make sure the soldier and dog stand out so maybe change them to a royal blue (sorry, I can't find my Pantone book) and keep the rest dark blue, or the reverse. Thank you. 5 years ago David commented on #86 Withdrawn glad you do. thank you. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #86 Withdrawn I appreciate that. I like that better! Thank you. 5 years ago David commented on #86 Withdrawn just in case :) 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #81 Withdrawn Have to get back to you tomorrow regarding my partner's opinions on the suggestions. Thanks for your patience. 5 years ago David commented on #81 Withdrawn My pleasure.Looking forward to your partner's opinion. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #81 Withdrawn Looks good! I may ask you to change the hat and remove the backpack but let me check with my business partner, who is the ex-Marine. Good work! 5 years ago David commented on #81 Withdrawn no gun . small adjustments. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #75 Withdrawn All set. 5 years ago David commented on #75 Withdrawn ready when you are. please note at this stage only the top 5 designers are able to upload new entries . 5 years ago David commented on #75 Withdrawn I'll prepare one with no gun and let you know when ready to upload. Thanks again. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #75 Withdrawn VERY cool! I love the interaction of the dog and soldier, but the gun should be removed. Good font choices as well. I just got in from work and need to review all submissions. I'll get back to you. Thank you. 5 years ago David commented on #78 Withdrawn my pleasure. Best regards. Dan. 5 years ago Cactushead commented on #78 Withdrawn I like the red "Buddies" but it stands out more in white. Thanks. 5 years ago
