Hmmm...now the gray background is competing with the drop shadow of the footprints and the black outline of "Battle Buddies".

The red stars don't work for this.

Also, the second "step" on the outline of the shield seems random. The space between the edges and the B and S in "Buddies" seems leftover or incomplete.

Another thought I had was adding a another dog print or two.

Something isn't quite pulling together all the elements here and I can't put my finger on it.

Good! I like the paw and combat boot print idea but they're lost on the blue background. The font for the text is cool, too — all grungey. Thanks!

a more 'serious' dog and the dog tag.
