We like the somewhat abstract nature of the column design, but it seems to "hard", meaning angular. Also, although I like the 3 boxes / 3 names synergy, I don't know how well overlapping colored boxes would do in print media such as letter head and business cards.
Basically we want something to gives the impression of strength and stability (good choice on the column) but also looks refined, fluid, and professional. I don't know if that helps any.
Looking at your portfolio, I thought the Robert Allen plumbing logo was brilliant, loved the mix of a drop of water with a wrench head. Also liked the Hunter logo.
