For entry #3, the colors are too faded and washed out; I like the bold colors and font of entry #1. I do like that entry #3 tried to complement the logo for Adventures by the Book, my other company, but it needs work. I do not like using people or human figures in my logos.
As to entries #13, #12, and #3, I like how you incorporated the idea of authors (the book or the feather, which I think is supposed to represent a fountatin pen, but maybe this part could be more clear) and complemented my Adventures by the Book logo with the world and starburst, but where is the entrepreneurial part of the logo? And also, I don't like the blocky, chunky font.
in entry #3, i don't like people in my logos, but i like the idea that it represents an author. perhaps you could change out the person and put in a pen or something else that represents an author. could you also try some different color combinations, perhaps a midnight blue with gold, and also a red with gold
