Hi :) Here is an idea that I had right away...sort of an abstract, art deco flower as the graphic, with typography (and treatment) to match. It would easily work as a single color mark that could be stamped on tags, cards, etc. Any feedback you have is greatly appreciated.
thanks for your time & consideration (and the invite) josh
Nice! The green looks great. The flower might be a bit too abstract though. First thing that comes to mind is a sea creature (no offense) but you're definitely on the right track. I uploaded a few fonts that I found on a site called Veer that I thought might be helpful. The california script is the better of the two. I appreciate you helping with this. Most of the submissions I've received have been very generic. We're a young company based out of NYC so we need something that's really going to stand out and set us apart. Let's stay in touch and see what we can come up with.
Here are a few more versions to look at: #45 - I just drew this font somewhat in the style of the font you found on Veer (I don't have that one). As I was drawing it, I decided to add the single flower in the same style.
#46 - previous logo with more realistic flowers and the "design & events" added.
#47 / #48 / #49 / #50 - new concept. Simple, fresh graphic to feel light and airy. I also tried a distressed effect to it, to give it a worn, but established look.
Hey Josh, sorry I haven't had the time to give you any feedback...we've been very busy the last couple of days. I like the way it's looking but I'm not crazy about the Astor font...I think it needs to be a bit more elegant if that helps at all. Also can you show me some other color options. Although I like the green I would also like to see something in maybe just black and white or a dark dark blue and white or light green. Hope I'm not being too much of a pain.
what about taking 77 and instead of a circle use a square or rectangle with a border. Also the Astor font isn't my favorite. I'll look to try and get you some other fonts that I like.
i also thought about using a faint stripe in the background, horizontal and vertical although it mike look like a jail cell. maybe some light grey and white stripes and a black font on top. Just an idea.
Josh I appreciate you helping us with this. Your designs were great and had a really nice vintage look to them but we think they might have been a little too old school for the look we are trying to convey.
