I've just realised – we are in the selection phase. Only the designer with an entry ranked in number 1 spot can upload any new files. I have the new files ready, so if you'd like me to load them please move any one of my entries to number 1 rank (temporarily) — I will then load them asap. Thanks.
Yeah we would love to see this version with the simplified graphic. I think I had made some other suggestions on that graphic too before you went overseas. I included this one in our survey to the Board because it's still quite different from the others and I wanted to give them options. We hope to select our winner soon!
I've only just woken up on the other side of the globe, so I might not get these new versions done prior to end of this contest phase. If I am one of the finalists in next phase I'll be able to complete and upload then. Happy to do all the tweaks you mentioned if that happens.
I have been going back to older logos and I do like the shape of this one now. It's just unique and different. And one of our Board members was just saying how they like when the association is spelled out, but with emphasis on what we do like how "natural resources" is bigger and bold here. Could we see the bottom half of this one with the top half of what you're working on now, but in this stretched out hexagonal shape?
Could we see with one with some horizontal lines extending from the top of the circle to the right over the top of ANREP and then same thing below the wording? Or some addition of horizontal lines. Seems somewhat disconnected. Or maybe adding back in the second, thinner outside circle?
Could we see this one too with a thinner outer circle and maybe a different fish? Or if you're going to try some different trees/wildlife in the other one I commented on, you could just see what that change looks like in one color.
I was looking back at the original logo too and can you make the outside circle thinner again? Unless you think it looks bad? I was thinking too of trying out a different tree and/or eliminating some of the wildlife (is it too busy)? and/or trialing some different shades/color combinations. The original logo got more love from another Board member today...I have only sent out one survey from the beginning so far...I don't want to overwhelm them.
Just wanted to say thank you for the feedback. It really does make participating so much better when the contest holder actively contributes to the design process. So thanks! :)
Haha, sorry to make more challenging decisions! I'm happy to work in fine tuning colors. I'm sure there could be small adjustments made based on any feedback. Glad you're liking the simplified layout. It came together well which is a good sign.
I'm torn on the color options too. I like how the red ANREP pops, but then I'm like there's a lot of different colors going on, but then I look at the other green one and I'm like...no I like the colors. Ugh.
Here's the simplified version of my earlier design. This will reproduce much better at any size, in print and online, even in one color.
Any further feedback is most welcome. I've done some other options without the bars above and below ANREP too.
i do like how association is spelled out under this one with the dashes then "association of" more dashes...etc. I didn't realize once i put into withdrawal it like goes away, but i have your other logo as a top contender still
Love the concept of this, but just thinking for re-printing purposes, like shirts that we will need a more simplified graphic. We are also from all over the united states so maybe some diversity of trees or just one tree to represent all trees, lol? We are a complicated beast. Also, not a fan of the tent and campfire...we are more like wildland fire.
