and also the opposite color which will usually used on a backdrop for the event, and the addition of shadows on solid objects on a two-dimensional surface so as to give the impression of depth and position
Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, I will make some adjustment on the design for the comparison, but I will start work on this in the morning in my time zone, because here already past midnight, it looks like our time difference around 12 hours. I hope you do not mind. and also for the design #93
I really like this one. To my eyes, there isn't enough emphasis yet on upward movement. Your design #93 has feelings of both upward and downward movement - on the one hand the dancing figure - if facing the viewer, is leaping downward. On the other hand, if the figure is facing away, it is as if they are leaping away and upwards. It may be the finishing strokes upwards in that design that make me feel upward as opposed to the curl of this design at the top (#91), I'm not sure.
I like this shape as well. Could I see the figures arm extended - the arm that is currently the shortest, extended around and upwards, beyond the other. Also try with and without a deeper curl at the bottom.
I've made some changes, I don't know if it still far to what you imagine, but i made other concept that showing the brush strokes become the "A" since I'm still a bit hard to picture to what you mean, but any of your feedback would be helpful
or maybe you can give me a link to show me your sketches
more thoughts:
can the brush strokes become the 'A' in Ascendance? I've played with this idea, and the brush strokes can serve as the limbs of a dancer, as you've done here, as the frame of a letter A, and - if viewed sideways - as wings. Complicated to picture, but thought the idea might be helpful for a second or third design building from this one.
I like this one, but the black and red don't work for me - it's too severe. Maybe blues and/or greens? I like the swooping brush stroke, but this one feels downward moving instead of upward moving.
This is my favorite so far. I like the font used in "ascendance" but I wonder if you can change the font on "arts" to match that of "inner world." Also, just playing with the abstract symbol - is it possible to draw it so that it appears to be reaching or spiraling upward a bit more? In terms of color, can there be various gradations of color used in the symbol? For example, can it be drawn to be darker blue at the bottom that gradually lightens in color (or even goes a bit turquoise) as the eye moves up the design? In other words, can the farthest part of the "reaching" be the lightest color? Sorry if I'm not being totally clear - I really love the clarity of this design, though.

in the text, I would like to see the 'Inner World Arts' extended to match the width of 'Ascendance' and the 's' added to the end.
