Discussion

Hi, I really like #44. Can we possibly do it without the yellow, and with maybe blue, light blue, and purples and some of the reds? We should change the color of As One to match also. I like the concept of #42 and #43 but those two don't really work for me. Also, because this will have to be reproduced in black and white, do you have a version in black, white, grey, that communicates the same kind of diversity/differentiation?
Thanks for your submission!

Here's a website with a logo with some colors that may work: maybe not the same colors because this organization is also in Nashville. But maybe something similar may also work. http://www.hon.org/

Hi,

thank you for ranking my design and sparing time to give me feedback. I recolored the design and added a few details. There are many way to recolor it so if you want to see other colors or version, please tell me. Also if you want to see any changes don't hesitate to ask.

Please keep the feedback coming, it is really important to me.

Thanks for the hard work Artistic. These are great. Off the bat, I'll say that I don't like #57 and #58, so you can withdraw those because they'll be ranked pretty low. As far as the others, I like them all, especially the cross on top of the as one which makes it like an emblem. My only problem is that when I first saw them, I kept clicking them thinking that once I clicked them the colors would take on their proper hue (like when mouse over something, it says click for feedback and kind of whites out the design. I thought these were already whited out!). With that being said, I would inject more color. They seem to be a little too pastel. I think that the colors need to be more vibrant especially on the ones like #53, #54, and #55 where the gray circles could overpower the cross. I like the earth tones, but inject more of the color that you're using I would say. Wonderful work.

You could use more earthy blues. Maybe even some of the rust colored tones like the reddish/pinkish hues, the greens. One example of these colors is the winning logo called "small groups" by deejava. Thanks so much. I'm really "feeling" this logo. It's artistic (like me), organic, shows unity, diversity, and could work in a wide range of settings (social media, as a banner or sign, etc.) I'd like to hear what you are saying or communicating through the non colored circles/bubbles with the cross in the middle of them. I can't decide if I like it best with or without those!

Hello,

thank you so much for the thorough explanation of your thoughts on my designs. I am currently working on their re-coloration.

If I understand correctly you are asking about the idea behind #53 , #55 and so on.
The idea is twofold. First, I was going for the idea that Christianity, fate, unites us, and the pale-er circles represent the wandering "souls" (for the lack of a better word), still searching. Also the fact that your community sticks together and the rest are not as united and "whole".

I hope that somewhat explains it.

Wow. That's powerful. On #62 and #63, can we lighten the big blue circle on the bottom of the cross just a bit and possibly darken the small blue circle on the other side so that it seems more balanced. I'm only talking about the very bottom of the cross--I just want to see what it looks like. And can we darken the "as one" so that it is a bit more color saturated? Thanks!

Client
Please ignore last comment. Let's just darken the "as one" for now so that it is more color saturated so that the cross does not overwhelm it. Thanks! (unless you already started working on the last suggestion. But I want to hold off on minor things until we are in the next round).

I just came up with an idea. What if we had the outline of a cross and then filled it with the colored circles. In certain places it would be not all the way colored in and the white would be seen. We could have a few of the scattered grey circles on the outside dispersed randomly, and then where a few lay on the boundaries of the cross (with part of the circle in but part out) the part outside would be grey but the part inside would be colored. This would show the unity and diversity in the church as well as the process of becoming fully unified and alive in Christ. Im writing this from my phone so forgive the typos. Does this make sense?
I would maybe pick 55 or 54 to try it on. Let me know what you think.

I was thinking about that, but then I decided to stick with my original idea, because I don't wanted to confuse you with too many different ideas. But no problem, I think it can happen. I am also writing from my phone, because I won't have access to my computer in the next 10 hrs., so please excuse my absence, because I will upload the new designs you requested in about 10-11 hours.

Thank you for working with me so actively!

Best wishes,

I think that I may have directed you to become too complex. #83, #84, #85, and #86 were not what I had in mind. Let's simplify. Let's go back to what we were doing before, but let's make the cross more simple using the circles. Let's use fewer (mostly or all bigger circles) to make the shape of the cross so that it still has the variation but in a more simple end result. Let's get rid of the outline idea for right now. thanks!

I just saw your ascend body designs. I like that font that you're using as well as the light and dark blue.

Can I see #117 and #122 in black and white and grey so I can see how they would look?

Of course - my latest entry include the b&w, grey and a few extra versions.

Does anything from this site strike you? http://churchrelevance.com/resources/top-church-logos/
I need to go in a different direction, but wanted to give you a shot at doing something cool. Something minimalistic and modern like the ones on this site. If you don't have time, no worries - since you worked so hard with me wanted to give you another shot.
