I do like the shadows you placed on the small squares of entry #169 because it gives the appearance of depth. We can incorporate that in all subsequent revisions.
The white squares on the film look 2 dimensional because they are completely square. This is in contrast to the "A" itself, which appears 3 dimensional not only because of the width of the figure, but the fact that the right leg of the "A" is larger, making it appear closer, and the left leg of the "A" is smaller, making it appears farther away. A suggestion would be to make the right side of the small squares larger, thereby making it appear closer like the right leg of the "A", and the left side of the small squares should be smaller, making this edge appear farther away, thereby completing the illusion of 3 dimensions for this figure.
If you can incorporate this one change into entries #163, #167, and #169, it would be great.
