I used squares and rectangles to create the symbol... even that you wrote that you did not want a cross in the logo actually there is one subliminal cross , but in a way that is not the typical "cross-medical-logo"... also I used the square that is "out" like the metaphor of "out of the box" that means dynamic/different/intelligent... and that also means that your company is the piece that your possible customer needs...
