Yep, Won't argue. We are not allowed to discuss other designer's proposals and educate customers how to conduct their business. I am sure you are pro in your industry and you know your customers better. Thank you for the opportunity. It was a nice contest!
Currently, I am out of State. Exactly we're not allowed to communicate outside the platform during the open contest. You will be able to contact me directly after contest is finalized. Rules are rules.
And say if I go with you I see you're from the US after the tournament is over can I call and get thinks fixed or changed!? I also understand and it does cost something!
You will be provided with vector format source files and some supported files. If you have a vector manipulation software (Adobe Illustrator [.ai], CorelDraw, Inkscape, etc) you will be able to change colors, resize the image without a loss, etc). These files are industry standards. This is enough data for further manipulations with graphics like using for business cards and other corporate identity items. If you have vector source files you will be able to pass those files to other designers, illustrators, technicians in a print shop. Additionally, as I said earlier you will be provided with a set of raster supported files which you be able to use right away for your online needs (but they won't be editable). BTW, LogoTournament requires to submit .EPS file and hi-res .JPG files only. Also, keep in mind, that fonts in vector files will not be editable since designers are not permitted to redistribute editable fonts. So if you want to change text you will need to buy them online.
In the Finalists phase the field is narrowed to allow you to work with your top five designers, which can be changed at anytime. The Finalists phase will last for two days, and once complete will move to the Selection phase. They are not obligated to produce 10 different styles (I don't know where you've read that). The purpose of the Selection phase is to work out final revisions with the #1 Designer (if needed), and to select a winner once satisfied. Only the #1 ranked designer can submit logos in this phase. You can still move around ranks any time you wish.
So if I read this correctly. I pick top 5 ppl. They have to produce 10 diff. styles I like and we work from there then I pick 3 of the 5 and pick my finalist from there!?
I'll be quite honest with you this pic. Has really caught my eye and then you changed the lettering and it just jives. But I guess sometimes it's not what I like it's what the customers like.
Well, this is a logo. Slogan should be used wisely depending on where you need to place your logo. For example, if you use your logo on a website, probably, you need to use a horizontal orientation of it and slogan could be placed on the right side. If you use your logo on some other corporate identity item (a business card or letterhead) the slogan could be used elsewhere. It really depends on the place and general look and feel. There is no rule that logo necessarily needs to go along with the identity block. Anyway, I will show you the logo with the slogan.
