My sincerest apology to you. Please don't be offended. I can tell you this happens all the time with contest holders and it has happened to me, personally, several times. You are right: I was out of line in expressing my frustration this way but I ask you to please accept my apology.
I'm sure this isn't easy as you compete. I know from looking at your profile that you are often successful. Another designer came up with something I liked better -- which so had nothing to do with your designs. I didn't appreciate your tone or your line of inquiry in your communication with me. I did not say anything in my survey response, but I would tell you, I am offended -- and it affects my perception of working with LogoTournament.
I couldn't tell from the entry numbers which came in first. Thanks for clarifying. Sometimes when your so close it gets really frustrating. My apologies to you but so many times I have lost a contest this way.
Good luck with the blog and thanks for considering me.
The designer added the pen to the bird on another submission before my comment. I simply asked the designer to combine THEIR TWO IDEAS. It had nothing to do with yours.
Hi Ann. I was just looking at the comments and direction that you have to pink where you asked him/her to add the pen to their bird. This was my concept to have the pen connected to an object whether a bird or a plane. I really wished you had asked me to make my design more feminine or whatever was lacking but I didn't think it was fair to ask them to connect the pen. They should have had the integrity to ask whether or not that was your idea or another designers. Anyhow, best of luck to you.
I've sent a set of images to colleagues and family to get feedback. I really like your design. I'm not sure there's anything else to do at this point, I just have to make a decision.
Hi Ann. I noticed that the first place designers concept is very similar to mine. Did he come up with that or did you ask him to do it? A pen and a plane attached by writing is not something I would think would be obvious.
I cannot see other designs but even if I could I can't take another designers concept or idea. If you want to give me any direction to improve my own design that is much appreciated.
I am keeping the same look on the website for now . . . but I don't want to hinge the selection of my logo on that.
It may be time for me to try another Wordpress theme, (not easy since not many themes offer the layout options I want) or to take the big plunge and move over to a Wordpress.org site.
I like it -- smart use of the autofocus square. Not sure if I like it was well as the free-flying plane. I'll have to live with it and stare at it for a little.
The more I look at this one, the more I like it. I realize this whole process runs for a few days so it's too soon to say, "this is it" -- but I'm certainly feeling like this one expresses what I want.
I've been using a darker teal green on my web site (will include a link), and I'd like to try the tagline just a shade closer to that color --
I was comparing this one #34 to #29 -- and it looks like there is more space between the plane and the text in this one as compared to #29 (where the plane also tilts upward)
I made some tweaks to this one. I actually will be away from my computer for the rest of the night but I'll happy to make any more changes in the morning.
As I'm looking at it, I'd like the tag line to be easier to read. I love the typewriter font for my name, and I think the graphic is great. I like the font for the tagline, but it's hard for me to read right now.

I'm liking the first one with the pen graphic better. Playing around with the tagline on the two lines is a good idea.
